I was looking at smgs and i canceled it down to two submachine guns, The g&g pm5a5 or the g&g umg. Which would be better in these catagories. Gearbox Durability Range Upgradable parts And what would be better overall

A the G&G umg has a poly carb piston head, cylinder head, spring guide, piston. brass bushings. ver III gearbox. it is VERY durable, it is accurate up to 80 feet. things to upgrade would be the *heads* and possibly the spring for a higher fps. but only after upgrading the *heads*. the mp5 has better externals (UMG is still very good though) and it has a higher fps. that all i know. the UMG has 530 rds and mp5 has 200.

A Define 'tactical'... The AUG is by far the most versatile. In it's smallest configuration it's smaller than an MP5A4 and still has a longer barrel than an M4... A quick barrel swap (and it IS quick) and you can have a 650mm sniper barrel on it. As well as giving it a long barrel, the bullpup configuration gives the AUG great balance with normal or short barrels.

I just got my MP5-J Airsoft gun in the mail today, and it came with a huge bulky, ugly flash hider that WILL NOT budge! It has two pins locking the knob so I can't turn it and remove it. I tried as HARD as I could to remove the pins so I could take off the huge orange tip. I used pens, needles, hammers + paperclip endings, and everything else! HELP ME! A Are you sure they're pins? Most flash hiders are secured with grub screws which need to be unscrewed with an allen key (hex key). Most use a 1.5mm grub screw. Once the grub screw(s) are removed, the flash hider will normally unscrew (do'nt forget, they've got a negative thread, so turn it in the opposite direction to normal). Bear in mind that depending on where you are, it may be illegal to remove the orange tip.

A It takes mini batteries. Plenty of batteries and chargers here: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/batteries.htm I'd recommend getting a NiMh over a NiCad as they've got a higher capacity (particularly important if you're using minis). I'm afraid I cant help you with the tip. I don't know how that suppressor comes off so consequently I don't know what attachment it has for a new one. Make sure and check your local laws before removing or painting over the orange. It is illegal in some states.

- Galaxy MP5 PDW Airsoft Plunger Problem?
I have a Galaxy Mp5 PDW airsoft gun that is working fine except for a broken plunger. What would be a good replacement plunger for this gun and where online can I find it? Upgrading is a plus. Also, do I need to replace just the plunger or get a whole replacement piston?

A If you just want the part so you can do it yourself try www.airsplat.com they might have one. If you have a local airsoft store you should take it to them as you can tell them any upgrades you want and that your gun isnt working and they will just resolve the problem. In terms of upgrades for the mp5 pdw i would recomend a high speed gear set and maybe a faster motor and slightly tighter spring. As for replacing just the plunger or the whole piston if it where me i would say replace the whole piston as there was certainly some reason your plunger broke which was probably tied to your piston.

A I don't have it, but based on reviews from sites and info from retailers, this gun pwns ass! 340 FPS w/ .2 gram BBs, that is amazing! the range is 250 feet, thats really good! Its a mini, AWESOME! But, you might wanna look out for the short barrels, or get a mock silencer, b/c small barrels = less accuracy. But everything else looks good!
