MP5 Airsoft Guns

- I have a electric airsoft mp5, all its doing is humming how do I fix this?
My airsoft mp5 is just humming now and not firing can i fix this? No nothing is jammed, its being charged and has been charged, it stopped working awhile ago 1-2 weeks Its a cheap walmart gun, crossman airsoft electronic pulse kit.

A If all its doing is humming, then likely the motor has lost contact with the bevel gear and is spinning freely. This is common with less expensive Mp5 airsoft guns as the screw that adjusts motor height can vibrate loose. To fix, take a small allen key to the grub screw on the bottom of the grip and turn it in until it makes contact. Keep turning until you feel significant resistance then back of a few turns. Make shure that you turn a quarter turn at a time then test. If this is not your problem, the you probably have a striped piston which will cause the entire gearbox to hum and spin freely. Visit www.mechbox.com for instructions on how to disassemble this unit and replace with a new piston. Its takes some skill and you will likely make several mistakes if you have never done this before. I would recommend you take it to a professional airsmith, but quite frankly, learning how to do this kind of work is something that all airsoft players should learn at some point unless you are ready to dish out money for repairs long term. It is a somewhat complicated thing to do, but you have to start somewhere and don't be discouraged if you get it right the first time. Just read up and ask questions in the forums at places like www.airsoftretreat.com and remember, take your time, and do this somewhere that you can walk away from the disassembled gun for a day or two if you run into a problem. - Why won't my MP5 electric airsoft gun shoot?
I just got a Heckler & Koch MP5 electric airsoft gun for xmas yesterday. It came with a P30 spring op pistol which works fine. The MP5 will only shoot when it's turned upside down. I've tried to adjust the hop up with no results. Why won't it shoot?

A this is probably because your magazines use a winding wheel on the bottom (Magazines like this are called hi caps) and you haven't fully wound it. You've probably got so excited about shooting it you only wound the wheel like 6 times and shot. Hi caps use a coil that pushes bbs into a separate feeding tube, and if the coil hasn't been wound enough, the tension of the coil won't be enough to push the bbs up into the gun so the feeding tube is filled with bbs but there's no pressure to push up on the bbs. Long answer short: Remember to fully wind your magazine. The winding wheel is there for a reason, ya know.
